As good as the Dallas Women’s Foundation’s 33rd Annual Luncheon sounded with a line up for Co-Chairs Lael Brodsky and Tricia Miller, Honorary Co-Chairs Matrice Ellis-Kirk and Ron Kirk and speaker Ava DuVernay with NPR host Michele Norris, word has just arrived that the cherry has been neatly placed on this sweetheart deal.
The presenting sponsor will be North Texas’ mega-motor manufacturing behemoth Toyota.
According to thrilled Dallas Women’s Foundation President/CEO Roslyn Dawson Thompson, “The leadership line-up for this luncheon is extraordinary — from the significant example Toyota is setting as a corporate leader, to the dedication of our awesome co-chairs, Lael and Tricia, and honorary co-chairs Matrice and Ron, to the powerful success stories of Ava and Michele. I am confident this leadership line-up is going to help us achieve and even exceed our goal.”
If you don’t drive a Toyota, you need to know that Toyota Motor North America has “been a part of the cultural fabric in the U.S. and North America for 60 years, and recently celebrated the first anniversary of its new North American headquarters in Plano.”
Toyota Motor North America General Manager Bonnie Clinton explained, “The Foundation is the trusted leader in advancing equity and opportunity for all women and girls. That mission closely aligns with Toyota’s vision for diversity and inclusion. We’re thrilled to work with the Foundation to help empower women, girls and the whole North Texas community.”
