In 1985, spurred by the vision and commitment of nineteen strong women, Dallas Women’s Foundation was launched. In the thirty years since, we have consistently led the charge to bring awareness and funding to the unique issues facing women and girls in our community. We have come a long way, but we know there is still much more to be done to advance greater social and economic change for women and girls. Today, we extend to our community a special opportunity to become a member of the XIX Society – so named for our 19 founders – a network of philanthropists who believe that the surest way to create concrete solutions in our community is by investing in women and girls.
By contributing annually at one of the XIX Society levels, you are partnering with Dallas Women’s Foundation to unleash the power of the ripple effect. With the collective investment by all XIX Society members, we can create systemic change that benefits women, their families and our community. Through Dallas Women’s Foundation, your gift invests in organizations working on priority issues like women’s economic security, education, leadership, health and safety and human trafficking.
We hope you will join us as a member of the XIX Society in time to attend the exclusive XIX Society Bus Tour on Wednesday, June 10. XIX Society members will get a first-hand look at the work of Dallas Women’s Foundation at two grantees: Attitudes & Attire and the newly openedLetot Girls’ Residential Treatment Center.
The Steering Committee invites you to join the XIX Society and network with men and women who share similar values and the common commitment of leveraging their assets to create an enduring legacy. At each level of the XIX Society, you will have the opportunity to participate in receptions, lunches or other networking events. Additionally, all members of the XIX Society will be able to participate in the selection of one grant during our Fall Granting Cycle. This unique opportunity allows XIX Society members to be a part of our nationally recognized grant making process.
As we embark on our 30th anniversary, we honor the past and embrace the future opportunities for all of us to make an even greater commitment to creating positive, lasting change for women and girls here in our community.
Sincerely,
XIX Society Steering Committee
